Hey y’all, for today’s blog I’d like to talk about the age of responsibility. It’s very rare that this topic is brought up and I understand we all have different views on it. I decided to talk about this today because it was an assignment for my daughters class and it made me think. There has been much change from the time I grew up in to now. It’s noticeable that teenagers in this era are more sophisticated and become independent quicker than the time we grew up in. In my opinion, the decade itself is the dominant factor of this change because it has become more dependent on technology. During the time we grew up, we were used to going outside as an activity. Now teenagers aren’t interested in doing this and it may be because it’s not as normalized. When teenagers are on their devices 24/7, they start to learn things quicker and form independence at early ages. Teenagers become more sophisticated early on because of the changes in their environment. I feel like the more the world evolves, the sooner children will too.
