What’s up y’all, for this weeks blog, I’d like to talk about mental health. I understand this is a more serious topic but as someone who’s had encounters with it, I’d like to talk about it with my audience. I’ve noticed that mental health is not always given the attention it needs especially in black families. Mental health attention has decreased in black families for generations. The problem has been continued for generations without any solutions. I’ve experienced this generational curse and I’ve realized how bad it’s gotten. When mental health is neglected, children start to develop without the care they need causing the generational curse to continue. My biggest goal as a mother is to stop this generational curse in my family and I hope other families can change this issue too. Make this New Year 2023 a year of self care and self love.
